Water as a medium can take the form and shape of where it is contained but it also possesses the ability to erode and disrupt any infrastructure, man-made or natural. With its impact so wide, the project aims to collect all such water-related data, starting with its impact on Ahmedabad over the years and making it easily available fro the public
Comparative Inferences
Comprehensive and comparative inferences could be made with collected information. Disparities in terms of certain areas reporting more news compared to others creating news void could be analysed which would help cater to future projects
The case of Ahmedabad
The aim was to understand how water has impacted society and how society has impacted the way it is perceived in multiple contexts for which printed news over the past decade (2011-2019) was analyzed. These can be broadly classified into majorly eight categories, which are water logging, water pollution, natural water resources, water rights, water supply, water affecting community, water harvesting and water streams and rivers. These categories have been analyzed through ranking system, following three parameters, number of people influenced, impact duration, and the range of area affected.
